Responsibilities and Impact:

As the first UX Researcher hired by Allica Bank to work with a team of 11 Designers, my role involved:

Creating comprehensive research strategies and leading research projects in collaboration with the Design team and POs to understand customer needs and opportunities to improve experiences. On average, I conducted 2-3 research studies per quarter using mixed research methods.
Establishing Research Ops in the business, including creating a research playbook and a customer feedback group.
Influencing product roadmaps by holding regular feedback sessions and workshops with the Design and Product teams to share actionable insights into the evolving needs and pain points of B2B customers that have led to improved customer journeys and experiences.
Providing in-depth research insights into customer spend behaviour, resulted in a new product squad being set up dedicated to spend management.
Attending weekly design sessions to validate and provide insight into whether customer requirements are being addressed by new design solutions across web and mobile.

As the only TA to a cohort of 22 students, I provided in-person support to students studying a UX diploma at BrainStation's London campus. This involved:

Mentoring and guiding students through the fundamentals of research and design, providing hands-on support and guidance throughout the course.
Assisting in practical workshops, design sprints and group projects.
Conducted daily presentations in-person and online on fundamental UX principles.
Marking over 200 assignments and projects, providing constructive feedback and suggested improvements to ensure students gained a solid understanding of best practice.

Senior Recruitment Consultant

Over a period of years, I worked as Senior Consultant supplying specialist healthcare staff to private healthcare companies and over 370 NHS sites. By 2018, I was increasing company's revenue on average by £550k pa by understanding client needs and issues, and providing them with a customised service that addressed gaps in their staffing requirements. As Senior, I also acted as Lead to a team of 7 employees, ensuring the team's personal targets and the company targets were always met. My day-to-day responsibilities involved:

Conducting in-depth candidate and client interviews to identify candidate skills and place healthcare professionals in role that matched their skillset and client needs.
Developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract top talent, while gathering and analysing data on recruitment processes to continually improve efficiency and outcomes for my team.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and a clear understanding of expectations and requirements.
